A recent project

Nonprofit case study

Global Mentorship Initiative — Mentorship Portal

GMI is a nonprofit that connects students with professional mentors across organizations. They needed a platform to manage the full mentorship lifecycle in one place: program enrollment, session tracking, mentor-student communication, and reporting.

We built a custom web application with three user roles: staff, mentors, and students. Staff create structured programs with sessions and resources. Students get matched with a mentor and move through the program like an online course. Mentors and students coordinate through built-in messaging and a shared calendar. Staff can send notifications, monitor course progress, and track volunteer hours.

The result is a platform built around how GMI runs their programs, not a workaround layered on top of software that almost fits.

★★★★★

Their web development skills are exceptional and this led to a very efficient project experience. They completed the work ahead of schedule and were always available for consultation when needed.”

What the process looks like

1

Start with a conversation

Tell us what you’re trying to solve. We’ll ask questions, figure out if we’re a good fit, and talk through what a solution might look like. No cost, no commitment.

2

Paid discovery session

We dig into the details together. What the app needs to do, who uses it, and how it connects to the rest of your business. The output is a clear scope, timeline, and cost. This session is $400, credited toward your build if you move forward.

3

We build it

Development happens in defined phases. You get regular updates and always know where things stand.

4

Launch and ongoing support

Your app lives on our infrastructure. Monthly support covers hosting, maintenance, and bug fixes. Feature changes and new development are scoped and quoted separately.

Frequently asked questions

What does it cost?
Every project is scoped individually during the discovery session, so exact pricing depends on what you need. Most projects range from $3,500 to $12,000 for the build, with monthly support starting at $300. You’ll have a clear number before any work begins.
Why do I have to pay for a discovery session?
Custom projects require real definition before anyone can quote them accurately. The discovery session is where we establish scope, timeline, and cost together. The $400 fee covers that work and is credited toward your build if you move forward. You’ll know exactly what you’re getting before committing to a full project.
How long does a web app take to build?
Timeline is defined during discovery. Simpler projects typically take four to eight weeks. More complex builds range from eight to sixteen weeks. You’ll have a clear timeline before work begins.
Who owns the app?
You do. The code, the data, and the intellectual property belong to you. Your app lives on our infrastructure as part of your monthly plan. If you ever want to move it, we’ll work with you to make that transition smooth.
What if my needs change after we build it?
Monthly support covers hosting, maintenance, and bug fixes to keep your app running smoothly. When you’re ready to add new features or expand what the app does, we scope and quote that work separately before anything begins.
Do you work with nonprofits?
Our clients are small businesses and nonprofits across the country. We’ve built for physical therapy practices, mentorship organizations, fitness studios, marketing agencies, and more. If you’re a small or mid-sized organization that needs something built and supported reliably, we’re likely a good fit. Get in touch and we’ll figure it out together.
